Rishav Mohanty is an Animator / Illustrator from Bhubaneswar. Being born and raised in Bhubaneswar (Odisha), the millions of festivals and temples had a huge impact on enriching his curiosity towards regional cultures and its nuances. His works also reflect stories from around his hometown and from his daily life.
He has made two animated short films titled, “Baya” and  “ Yestrday”,  during his Master's at the National Institute of Design , Ahmedabad. He has worked as a freelance artist in animated short films, feature films, tv series and picture books.

'Khatti' is his new animation short film in the making. It was one of the finalists for the Animation Filmmakers Competition at the inaugural World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES), that was held in Mumbai, India in May 2025.
